Esteban Lopez, a native New Yorker, is a well-respected “Style Maker” among New York’s interior design community. Esteban began his journey in interior design studying landscape architecture and fine arts. After completing his studies and working with some of New York’s well known landscape and design firms, he soon realized that his true passion for interior design had emerged. While managing a thriving interior design business in New York, Esteban and his partner, James Niebling, decided to relocate to San Diego in the fall of 2003. Esteban Interiors opened in Little Italy, San Diego in 2004. Esteban quickly made his mark in San Diego as one of the top interior designers and most sought after interior design firms. Esteban is one of the founding members of The Art and Design District in Little Italy, San Diego. In August of 2007 Esteban and James relocated their design studio to La Jolla’s Design District on Girard Avenue. The Esteban Interiors design studio recently went through an extensive design transformation in the fall of 2013.
James Niebling is a native of California from the San Francisco Bay Area. He began his retail career with Macy’s California as the Buyer for Women’s Better Fashion Apparel. He continued his retail management career with Express, Inc. in Columbus, OH, and Ann Taylor, Inc. in New York, NY. In the spring of 2000 James joined Polo Ralph Lauren and served as Vice-President of Merchandising over Women’s and Children’s Apparel in New York, NY. At the close of 2003, James moved from Manhattan to San Diego with his partner Esteban Lopez to establish the Esteban Interiors design business in Little Italy, San Diego. James was a founding member and Treasurer of The Art and Design District in Little Italy, San Diego. In August of 2007 James and Esteban relocated their design studio to La Jolla’s Design District on Girard Avenue. In the fall of 2011 James was elected to a seat on the Board of Directors for the La Jolla Village Merchants Association and currently serves as the Board President.
Camille Andres is an Interior Design graduate student from San Diego State University. Camille joined Esteban Interiors in the fall of 2014 as the Assistant Designer. After a year with the company, she has been promoted to her current position as Junior Designer. Today Camille works closely with the Design Principal and Merchandise Principal to prepare and execute interior design floorplans for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients.
