Art imitating life…

INTERIOR ABSTRACT…

We are always striving for ways to visually communicate ideas to clients. We create “virtual” 3D renderings for all of our projects; this is an important tool that allows us to create a space, add the lighting, furnishings, and materials as an aggregate of our design discipline. It is important to understand that renderings are conceptual and only used to represent an idea or theory of the final design.

KEEPING IT REAL…

While it is possible to model every item we are proposing for a design, it can quickly become financially impossible without blowing through hours and hours of design time. We usually insert placeholders in place of a “real” model to represent an item that has not been previously modeled. This saves time and money for our clients and also streamlines the process.

DON’T BE LITERAL…

Its important to keep an open mind when looking at renderings of a proposed design. Renderings are part of the planning phase of our process. We carefully probe during our programming sessions to ensure that our preliminary renderings are fulfilling the scope of work. Renderings are hard work to get right with the appropriate materials and lighting. Our team works diligently to produce renderings that evoke an emotional experience; we want the client to imagine themselves in the space before any construction is started.
