La Jolla Farms

Esteban Interiors was tasked with designing a poolside retreat for a cliff-side home in La Jolla Farms. The main design focus for the project was creating a floating appearance within the home. This was achieved in part by a custom floating wall made of high-polished lacquered walnut panels to reflect the stunning cliff and panoramic ocean views. A soft backlight and attached twin satin cabinets further emphasize the appearance of levitation, and a human scale managed to bring everything down without detracting from the home’s architecture and outside view. To tie it all together, a vibrant spectrum of colors was chosen to complement the soft and bold natural hues of the panoramic coastal landscape.
